Oleoestepa SCA has once again demonstrated its leadership in the production of high-quality extra virgin olive oil by receiving major recognition at the prestigious 2024 Mario Solinas Quality Awards, organized by the International Olive Council (IOC).
Two of our associated cooperatives, Agropecuaria de Herrera S.C.A. and Olivarera Pontanense S.C.A., were honored in two of the competition’s main categories, reaffirming Oleoestepa’s commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation in olive oil production.
Prestigious international recognition
Agropecuaria de Herrera S.C.A. was awarded the second prize in the “Ripe Fruitiness” category with a 40,000-liter tank of extra virgin olive oil, reflecting a consistent dedication to quality year after year.
Meanwhile, Olivarera Pontanense S.C.A., based in Puente Genil, was recognized as a finalist in the “Medium Green Fruitiness” category with a 55,000-liter tank that impressed the jury with its freshness, balance, and complex organoleptic profile.
Over 95,000 liters of award-winning EVOO
Together, these two tanks represent more than 95,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil produced under the strict quality standards of the Estepa Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), widely regarded as the most demanding in Europe. This reinforces Oleoestepa’s position as a benchmark in the global EVOO market.

This edition of the Mario Solinas Awards received entries from more than 130 olive oils representing countries such as Algeria, Morocco, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Tunisia, Turkey, Croatia, and China. Standing out in such a demanding international competition is a powerful endorsement of the strength and authenticity of our oils.

The Mario Solinas Awards add to Oleoestepa’s growing list of accolades, including the recent honors received at the 2024/2025 Sevilla Provincial EVOO Awards, where our associated cooperatives earned first prize for Best EVOO in the province, Best Organic EVOO, and an Honorable Mention.
