Food Safety – seals and certificates

The oil mills associated with Oleoestepa have integrated production certification, a guarantee of sustainable activity. Continuous cold extraction processes are performed within a few hours of harvesting the fruit. Automatic control systems guarantee permanent compliance with technical and environmental requirements in order to achieve the best extra virgin olive oil from the healthy olives received, in a sustainable way.

The 18 associated oil mills have the UNE-EN-ISO 22000: 2018 certification in food safety management systems, focused on achieving results in accordance with their food safety policy and the strategic direction of the organization.

New chemical and sensory controls typify the different deposits at a state-of-the-art bodega. The company’s broad experience and profound knowledge of the attributes of this fruit mean we can offer a very wide range of oil profiles, adapted to the specific needs of each consumer.

All Oleoestepa extra virgin olive oils pass through chemical analyses to test for quality and purity, as well as a multi-residue analysis process with which we control 171 materials in order to ensure that they comply with the specific legislation on Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs). This certifies that extra virgin olive oils bearing the Oleoestepa seal are of excellent quality and guarantee full food safety for the consumer.

The quality and food safety process followed in the packaging plant are guaranteed by the most stringent IFS and BRCGS international certifications, as well our high degree of commitment to the environment, through our UNE-EN-ISO 14001: 2015 certification.

This list details all the certificates awarded to Oleoestepa which are linked to food safety, environmental sustainability, high quality and corporate social responsibility, the four pillars sustaining Oleoestepa’s cooperative activity.
